SDRUZHENIE ASOCIACIA DYSLEXIA - BULGARIA (DABG) is a non-governmental
and not-for-profit organization established in September 2005 in Ruse, Bulgaria.
Mission and Aims:
1. Raise awareness about dyslexia and other learning difficulties through publications,
lectures, workshops, presentations, and online platforms.
2. Train teachers, tutors, and trainers to identify the symptoms of dyslexia and related
conditions in children and young people.
3. Provide individual and small-group support to children and young people to help them
overcome their learning challenges.
4. Advocate for a dyslexia-friendly society to enable individuals with dyslexia to reach
their full potential.
Challenges Addressed:
Despite growing awareness about dyslexia in recent years, many students in Bulgaria still
struggle due to undiagnosed dyslexia or inadequate support. Teachers, parents, and SEN
(Special Educational Needs) staff require further training in effective methods and strategies
to assist students with learning difficulties.
